Thanks for the encouragement Rita! I haven’t sent in my submission package yet. My friend Coleen is proofreading for me while I work on the dreaded synopsis and cover letter. With any luck the final package will be on its way by the end of the month.

Then I’ll start working on my prep work for the next story, which I hope to draft during JulNoWriMo.

Have you already submitted the manuscript to Tor? There’s no reason you shouldn’t reach for the top first. Hope they grab it! I’ll want a signed copy when it’s published

Thanks Ravyn! According to Tor’s website, they respond to unsolicited submissions within 4-6 months. So By September I should know for certain whether my first choice publisher is interested or not. With any luck, by that time I’ll already have completed a first draft of the sequel.
