Xtian J - from you, I'll take that as a compliment. I always was a little Zen... just couldn't really express it much in the corporate world. And hiking where we were in florida was too hot and dry for the long treks I enjoy the most. It's a little better up here, but not by much.
Cheers

Z- This one was actually a short trip for me: one day in, one overnight, and one day out. I went back in to Henry Coe a couple weeks after finishing this hike for a 43 mile trek into the Orestimba Wilderness. I'm writing the trail description for that hike now. I didn't spend much time writing on my Blue Ridge hike, but I actually penned the outline for my next novel on my second visit to the park, while I was in the Orestimba.

Seventeen miles! Wow! That's plenty of time to think and be inspired of the beauty of nature. I'm sure you were tempted to make a story or two about your trip, I would! The scenery and the animals you saw were candidates of a new poem. But that's just me talking. he he he.

Saw the link at the bottom of the page, will visit AC too.

Cheers!
